Guide to Mandaps

Here is a design guide for mandaps - the structure, shape, accents, colors. 
This guide focuses on broad strokes of mandaps.
​For unique mandaps we recommend working with a visionary designer (we know a few!) And let creativity, inspiration, and know how co-create your unique wedding ceremony space. 

Mandap Structures

Picture

Fabric Drape

  • Consisting of primarily 'pipe and drape' 
  • Can be one color or many
  • ​Can have flower added or not​

Columns

  • Columns are a traditional option
  • Often ornate with carvings, designs, patterns, crystals, lights
  • They can vary in color, white, gold, beige, other

Structure

  • Structures are often a more natural feel, wooden with a few accents of fabric and / or flowers
  • Similar to pillars, but more simple and subtle

Unique

  • Custom options vary widely
  • Can be traditional or non traditional
  • ​Work with a designer with a vision to create something extraordinary 

Mandap Shapes

Mandap designs can take on a variety of shapes. These examples feature mostly 'fabric drape' mandaps in a variety of shapes

Mandap Decorations

There are many styles of mandap. Here are a few easy to follow examples, primarily of the 'structure' style, but the same descriptions work on any style.

Natural draping of fabric and / or flowers accenting one side more than another​

Mandap Colors

Of course mandaps can be many different colors and color combinations. The sky is the limit. Here are a few to get your juices flowing.

Colors can be any selection, pink, red, purple, etc.
