Get me to the church on time!... or hall, temple, gurdwara, synagogue, etc…

Your wedding day is an important day to be on time. So much effort goes in to planning, deciding, anticipating. Here are a few tips to make sure you and your VIPs run on time.

Before the big day, know your travel time from door-to-door.

• Don’t go above the speed limit. Being pulled over (even if you don’t get a ticket) will definitely make you late, not to mention that would be stressful. 
• Google Maps is a great estimator, but I still recommend doing it yourself so all the little details are factored in, like slowing down for speed bumps or watching the garage door close completely, or hotel elevator time, or navigating a 'no left turn' sign.
  

Add 10 minutes of buffer time.

• Sitting in the car will take more time as you make sure your outfit does not touch the car, and sit carefully to avoid wrinkles and creases.
  
• You may need an extra minute to check your essentials (lipstick, legal papers, jewelry).
  
• A minute for some deep breathing, or maybe a selfie.
  
• And let’s not forget there could be a slow car in front of you.
  

A few extra minutes of buffer time allow you to be human (or allow for human error). And by avoiding starting 5 minutes late, and then 10 minutes late, which then adds up to a half hour by the end of things, you will be running on time and get everything you planned for on your wedding day!

So schedule the right amount of travel time - You will be glad you did.
